Eurostar Snow
For winter 2026–27, the Eurostar Snow looks set to continue to run outbound on Saturdays but return on both Saturdays and Sundays.

Eurostar Snow is the indirect service that has replaced the direct Eurostar Ski Train.
Although not yet confirmed by Eurostar to run for winter 2026–27, there are already ski tour operators offering rail packages with Eurostar Snow included. That's a pretty sure sign it will run, and there's no reason to think that Eurostar wouldn't renew it from last year.
The service goes outbound on Saturdays, and returns from the Alps on both Saturdays and Sundays.
On the outbound journey, skiers take the Eurostar from London St Pancras to Lille-Europe station, and change trains there—a simple switch of (usually adjacent) platforms. They then head to the French Alps on a Eurostar cross-continental train. From Lille-Europe, Eurostar Snow arrives at the following stations: Chambéry, Albertville, Moûtiers, Aime-La Plagne, Landry, and Bourg-Saint-Maurice.
For the return journey, skiers can choose to come back the following Saturday or the following Sunday, with the same change of station at Lille-Europe.
In January 2025, SnowCarbon's founder, Daniel, tested out the Eurostar Snow service.
The previous year, ski writer Sean Newsome wrote a review in The Times.
Also useful is an informative review of Eurostar Snow by Graham, founder of ski forum Snowheads. There’s this review of the Eurostar Snow service on the Ski Flight Free website, too.
Saturdays outbound, Saturdays and Sundays inbound
The Eurostar Snow travels daytime both ways, making for a relaxing journey.
The outbound journey departs London on Saturday mornings.
For the inbound journey, there are two options: come back on Saturday or Sunday.
This choice of either Saturday or Sunday is an unusual development, but the choice (and the extra train service) is a good thing for the traveller.
It means that if you can find an eighth night's accommodation (on the final Saturday), then you can have an extra day's skiing. In resort, almost all apartments and chalets at ski resorts work on a seven-night basis and won't want to give you an extra night, as this would shorten the following week for incoming guests. Hotels might be more flexible.
If you can't find seven nights' accommodation in-resort, you may need to find one night's accommodation in one of the villages that the train departs from (Chambéry, Albertville, Moûtiers, Aime-la-Plagne, Landry, and Bourg-Saint-Maurice).

How much do Eurostar Snow tickets cost?

The price of Eurostar Snow fares depends on the date of travel.
Tickets are predicted to go on sale on Thursday, 9th July 2026. Eurostar has not confirmed this date yet. Usually, they go on sale around 8 am.
A return journey is twice the price of a single. Tickets can be booked one way in either direction, giving travellers more flexibility.
For winter 2025–26, tickets started at £99 for an adult single, but that's just the starting price. Fares for many dates end up more expensive.
Example prices from 2024–25 season
The table below shows return prices for each date the train ran, at the time it went on sale.
When we checked a week later, the prices were the same (so no incremental increase), apart from two peak dates being sold out. You can read more of our research in our blog on how much Eurostar Snow costs, one week after going on sale.

Eurostar Snow has increased the number of departures
Photo: Eurostar International
In winter 2024–25, Eurostar Snow had only 11 departures (up from eight the previous season) and the service ended at the start of March.
For winter 2025–26, there were 15 departures, with the service running until the end of March.
For winter 2026–27, it's expected that there will also be 15 departures (see dates in the section above)
What if I haven't chosen my resort or accommodation yet?
We asked Eurostar this question, and a spokesperson told us:
"Eurostar Snow customers will be able to alight and depart from any calling station in the Alps if they change their mind on their arrival and departure stations after buying tickets."
In other words, it doesn’t matter whether you book travel first, so long as the resort you choose is accessible from any of the stations Eurostar Snow serves.
